Its a Robin Hood story!
Friends; If you thought you have rescued and saved Aussies like I did, read this story about a person that has devoted herself to rescuing the disabled !!
I got my friend Laura, involved in Aussies after she and her husband Sean lost their long time Retreiver companion.
As we "Aussie owners" know, there is no comparision to an aussie especially those in the retreiver suits. So, I persuaded Laura to look into rescuing an Aussie. She did and low and behold she found Arlo. One of Arlo's front legs did not develop correctly and in turn is shorter than the other leg and he has no disctinct toes. He has lived with the pain of the burden to his upper body to support the one good leg....until Laura saw him. She immediately took him to therapy and found a person that made the prostheses for his shorter leg. It doesn't stop there. Laura massages his leg and shoulder to help Arlo's athritis.
Laura's kindness doesn't stop there. Her latest rescue is Huck. He has 2 bad hips and bad knees.
Update: Laura had surgery done on Hucks left & right side. He is progressing slowly to build up the strength in his real leg muscles to help support his weight.
